What I minted this week

Coinbase Mints

Two fun Coinbase mints this week showing how the company is doing a fantastic job of pushing the boundaries with onchain marketing.

1. The first is "Mint a Penny" which is a commemorative mint for Coinbase's latest marketing campaign. But the catch is that minting the NFT allows you to buy merch using Coinbase commerce.

Thank you for participating in Coinbase's National Lost Penny Day campaign - all hats have been redeemed! Coinbase celebrated #NationalLostPennyDay by freeing Abe from the penny and bringing him onchain-and onto this hat.

2. The second was Coinbase minting their Q4 '22 earnings report onchain! Was perfect timing with my letter to Coinbase this week.

This is so cool, Coinbase earnings are onchain! In my letter to CB this week I mentioned I'm going to be intentional about reading the company's earnings reports this year. General Mints

• LGHT's first podcast episode with Jacob (founder of Zora). I thought it was awesome that both host and guest received 50-50 of the rewards.

  

• I minted Bored's first paragraph post: My week off Twitter

Just minted @bored's first /paragraph post. "98% of my digital existence resides on Twitter's servers...I didn't feel compelled to start over and try to build a following elsewhere. The only real solution that could justify me trying to fork my identity was to ensure it was the last time I'd ever have to do so. • Dawufi had a fun "Wufs" mint that I joined in on to support as a friend. A fun new concept for his /wufs channel

  

  Collect NFT

  • Based God had a fun mint where you could "mint with people around the world" and see how many other folks you were aligned with. At the time I minted, I think there were 43 people I was aligned with.
